We provide outreach education to the residents of Langlade County. As a statewide engagement arm of UW-Madison, the Division of Extension embodies the Wisconsin Idea to extend university knowledge to every corner of the state. Our Statewide network of educators and specialists with UW-Madison and on UW campuses across Wisconsin is responding every day to emerging and longstanding hurles residents are overcoming in compete and prosper.

Extension Langlade County Programs
Extension’s mission is to connect people with the University of Wisconsin.
We teach, learn, lead and serve, connecting people with the University of Wisconsin, and engaging with them in transforming lives and communities.
Currently, the Extension Langlade County office provides educational programming in the following areas:

4-H & Youth
4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills! Langlade County hosts 13 clubs & 9 projects for youth of all ages.

Emerald Ash Borer Notice
The invasive emerald ash borer has been detected in our area, threatening local ash trees. This destructive pest spreads quickly and can devastate tree populations. Check your ash trees for signs of infestation, including canopy dieback, D-shaped exit holes, and bark splitting.
FEATURED PROGRAM
Raising a Thinking Child
May 6 – 27 | Virtual on Zoom | FREE!
Raising a Thinking Child is a 6 session program for parents, caregivers, and early childhood educators. Raising a Thinking Child helps adults build critical thinking, impulse control, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills in young children aged 4 to 7 years. Raising a Thinking Child trains adults to teach their children how – not what – to think.
